Sourcefire Files Registration Statement for Initial Public Offering

Columbia, MD. October 25, 2006 -- Open source innovator, Sourcefire, Inc., a leader in network intrusion prevention, today announced that it filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of common stock. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined. Sourcefire and certain of its stockholders are expected to sell the shares to be offered.

The sole lead book-running manager of the offering will be Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated. Lehman Brothers Inc. will serve as co-lead manager and UBS Securities LLC and Jefferies & Company, Inc. will serve as co-managers.
